George Coetzee plays from water bare-footed at Open de France

Despite creating one of the birdies of the season george Coetzee fell at the Open de France.
Coetzee allow a edge slip over the last six holes in Le Golf National to end the week in third place, having left a charge up the leaderboard in improbable manner in the par-five ninth.
The South Africans tee shot finished left of the fairway and only inches leaving Coetzee needing to remove shoes and his trousers to wade into the water to play with his next chance.
Coetzee was able to find a position in the water to make a connection and deliver the ball up the fairway, but then missed the green with his third opportunity to leave himself facing a tough up and down to save par.
Even the four-time European Tour winner had other ideas chipping in for the first of three birdies to place strain on Nicolas Colsaerts in the peak of the leaderboard.
