Blended PVC allows us to formulate the optimum compound for UV stabilization, strength and wear resistance. Using PVC tubing as the carrier of feed not only provides flexibility in facility design, but reduces dust, provides protection against insect and rodent contamination, and reduces stressful operation noise.

Ap uses wire which is flattened prior to hardening which provides better resistance to distortion and an all-around stronger product. Flex-Flo™ XD utilizes an AP exclusive manufacturing process resulting in twice the durability of traditional auger, the latest innovation to AP’s Flex-Flo™ product line. XD is available for Models 300, 300P, HR, 350 and 500.





Around the Bend For moving feed up in the air and around corners, AP Flex-Flo™ tubing is available in specially formed elbows with increased wall thickness on the inside of the elbow for added strength and wear resistance.

Flex-Flo™ Models Both tubing and augers are available in a variety of models to fit your specific requirements. Whether its ground feed, mash, high moisture corn, shelled corn or pellets, AP has the transport system combinations to handle it. For corn up to 27% moisture and other hard to flow materials, the Flex-Flo High Roughage system utilizes a combination of a Model 300 (75mm) auger in a Model 350 (90mm) tube. For pelleted feeds, a specially designed auger is availavle for Model 300 Flex-Flo, which increases the tolerance between the tube wall and auger. This increased tolerance prevents auger plugging and damage to expensive pelleted feeds.


Boots & Unloaders AP offers several quality boot and unloader designs with convenient feed inspection and maintenance features for both Flex-Flo™ and Rigid Auger systems. Plastic and Heavy Duty Metal Boots

  • AP offers plastic Straight drop boot, 30° drop boot, Double boot and all Metal boot models.
  • Straight drop and 30° drop boots are also available in Clear and Transluscent.
  • All plastic boots are chemically blended in our own facility with the very latest in ultra high impact polypropylene resin; specially formulated blend of chemical ultraviolet light inhibitors and impact modifiers that enhance durability and resilience.
  • Most other providers still use the older, ABS plastic, which is stiff, brittle and prone to fracture, cracking and tear-out, especially where it is attached to steel. It is impossible for ABS to be UV stabilized, thus creating a built-in deterioration factor over time.
  • AP’s Clear and Transluscent boot models provide an easy visual of bin feed levels.
  • The Clear boot is injected molded from a specially formulated, ultraviolet stabilized, clear polycarbonate blend and features a heavier wall to prevent cracking.
  • Multiple outlet requirements can be easily handled by our 22″ (559 mm) all Metal boot. This boot, which can be fitted to any AP feed bin, will allow installation of up to four feed lines in several directions at once.

Quality Unloaders

  • Designed to fit below the 16″ (406 mm) plastic and 22″ (559 mm) metal boots, AP’s standard unloaders are available for Model 220 (2.2″ (55 mm)), 300 (3″ (75 mm)), 300P, 350 (3.5″ (90 mm)), HR and 500 (5″ (125 mm)) Flex-Flo™, or 4″ and 6″ rigid auger systems.
  • Most Unloaders are available in single or double outlet models, as well as “though” and “twin through” models which can be used in tandem where two tanks are used in line.
  • Unloaders feature heavy duty ball bearing anchor and bearing assemblies to increase service life and reduce maintenance.
  • All AP Unloaders have a slide-gate above the auger to meter feed or serve as a complete shutoff, and a convenient side inspection/clean-out plate which is easily removed with two wing nuts.

SmartIR Sensor The SmartIR Feed Sensor from AP can think for you by utilizing infrared sensing technology; infrared beams detect the level of feed and control all functions of the feed delivery system, so there are no moving parts and no sensitivity adjustments. It is not affected by changes in temperature, humidity, moisture content or feed type. Patent # 8056506. Features

  • Digital Display and Push Button Interface allows quick and precise adjustments to timer settings and access to all feed system status information (LEDs) at a glance. The large display is readable without entering the pen.
  • On Delay Timer delays the restart of the feed system (auger) for a programmable period of time to prevent the occurrance of potentially damaging feed system short cycling.
  • Maximum Run Timer shuts down a running feed delivery system at a predetermined time preventing costly feed spills and excessive feed system (auger) wear caused by bridged or empty feed bins.
  • Alarm Contact can be wired to your Agri-Alert alarm system or other onsite alarm system to provide immediate notice that the maximum run time has been exceeded, indicating an out-of-feed event.
  • Removable Feed Sensor Insert is designed for performance and serviceability. It features six independent infrared beams which must be simultaneously interrupted to deactivate the switch. The durable clear housing serves as a lens to protect the IR transmitters and receivers from feed, dust and moisture.
  • Adapts to nearly all flexible auger systems. 20 amp, 230 volt Internal Relay allows the sensor to be installed on all makes of flexible auger feed delivery systems without modifications.
  • The optional Protective Cover safe guards the unit from damage by high pressure washers and incidental contact without obstructing operation or vision.




SMARTflex The SMARTflex Control Unit uses a proximitiy sensor and timers to efficiently operate a Flex-Flo™ delivery system. The SMARTflex comes with a digital display and push button programming for ease of operation. Features

  • Maximum Run Timer included with the unit.
  • An On Delay Timer prevents short cycling to the Flex-Flo™ motor.
  • Cumulative Run Timer monitors and tracks feed intake.
  • Alarm capable warning of system plugging or maximum run time exceeded.


15Universal Sensor AP’s Universal Sensor is truly universal. It adapts to control voltages from 24 to 240 volts and can operate either normally open or normally closed. This switch uses technology that is not sensitive to changes in temperature or humidity, eliminating the need for sensitivity adjustments. The convenient push button interface allows you to quickly and precisely program an on delay from one second to three hours to prevent short cycling of the feed system. LED’s indicate the status of the switch at all times. The Universal Sensor is available pre-mounted and pre-wired in the Flex-Flo™ control unit. This control unit features an oversized outlet to prevent feed bridging.

Drop tube switches and hopper level controls are also available with an optional proximity style switch with time delay.

Maximum Run Timer AP’s Maximum Run Timer prevents costly feed spills and auger wear by shutting down the feed line if the system operates longer than the programmed run time. An indicator light alerts you to why the system was shut down. The reset button allows the auger to be restarted after the problem has been corrected. The Maximum Run Timer can be easily adapted to any flexible auger system.

Power Units


Efficient Power The Flex-Flo™ auger is driven by a direct or belt drive system. All elctrical connections are made in a plastic, water resistant control box. Features

  • The Power Unit’s motor is:

  • Totally enclosed.
  • Fan cooled.
  • Standard 358 RPM (other speeds available for special applications).
  • Whether direct or belt driven, the drive system includes:
  • Easily accessible maintenance port.
  • A safety back-up switch which automatically stops and restarts the motor in the event of feed backup in the line.
  • A visible light warning of backups in the feed line.
  • An automatic thermal (overheat) shut-off switch which allows the restart of the system when the motor has cooled off.

Képernyőfotó 2014-06-04 - 11.19.00Extension Units… 90° Access Extension Hoppers AP’s Flex-Flo™ PVC tubing is capable of spanning distances of up to 150′ with most models and 250′ with Model 220(see specifications). For applications requiring distances over the maximum auger length for any given system (that size auger), extension hoppers are available that can expand the delivery range to practically any distance by extending the overall length of the Flex-Flo™ system.
